Version 2.7.1 has a major focus on behind the scenes optimizations for a better user experience. Faster page loads and more accurate results are to be expected. We will be introducing one brand new feature in this release: Url manager.
We at udu have been exploring ways in which we or our core technology could help in the very different world we all now find ourselves. As a result, we’re excited to announce our involvement in two new COVID-19 research projects, the first aimed at solving the challenges researchers face analyzing data from many sources. We will be announcing more details on the second project at a later date.
In version 2.6.1 of Find Businesses, we have expanded the functionality to include a new type of fast search and added a few new time saving features. Specified location string (no verification) is the latest search type. They are similar to No location searches in speed, but make an attempt at being a little more location specific. You also now have the ability to download multiple runs at once into a zip file.
Version 2.5.1 is a bit more feature packed than the last few versions. We heard many feature requests come in. Some are still under development, but this version really focuses on 2 things: simplifying and speeding up the process. Things are now simpler with the ability to share a link to get feedback and questions answered from a subject matter expert. It is also much faster to be able to click urls in the spreadsheets, track down why a company is missing from your results and get suggestions on the next geography you should run when building a model.
As a follow up to version 2.3.1 that added the major new feature of Smart Scoring, version 2.4.1 adds a few new useful features, including: new data about each company and the ability to define a custom region with a list of zip codes.
In addition to the standard “behind the scenes” improvements, version 2.3.1 is introducing an incredibly useful new feature. Smart Scoring is another huge step forward for udu in simplifying the user experience for Find Businesses.
Not every release is going to be as jam packed with new features as version 2.1.1. Version 2.2.1 is mostly focused on behind the scenes improvements to get you better results, faster. With that being said, we did add a couple of new features to Find Businesses that will help increase your productivity with the tool.
We’re proud to announce the relaunch of the udu blog. We’ll be posting case studies, best practices, development updates and anything interesting we come across.
With the relaunch, we’ve gone ahead and dropped a couple of posts:
The first is a development update digging into all the new features in the newest Find Businesses app (version 2.1.1). It’s a great release with a ton of new features. Check it out here.
The second is an article we’ve written entitled AI Won’t Steal Your Private Equity Job, but It Will Make You Better at It, exploring what artificial intelligence means to private equity. Have a look here.
Welcome. And please do subscribe to be notified of when new posts are available.
The robots are coming for your jobs! There’s
scarcely a day that goes by without someone publishing an article about how
artificial intelligence (AI) is making inroads into a given industry. And while
the reality is far more nuanced, there is some truth to the idea that
automation is gearing up to replace a portion of the labor force.
